Memorial Day, Castaways Field of Honor in Newport Beach

Newport Beach, a picturesque coastal city in Southern California that boasts an extraordinary place of remembrance and gratitude known as the Castaways Field of Honor.  This event is located at Castaway Park, on a cliff with endless views of the Back Bay and Newport Harbor.  The grounds stands as a profound tribute to the brave men and women who have selflessly served our country.

The Castaways Field of Honor serves as a beacon of honor and respect, allowing visitors to pay homage to the heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice. As you walk the trail you are immediately enveloped by a serene atmosphere,   encouraging reflection and appreciation.

Rows upon rows of  American flags flutter in the breeze along a 1.3 mile paved loop walking path.  Each flag represents a fallen soldier, sailor, airman, or marine. The sight is both awe-inspiring and humbling, as the magnitude of the sacrifices made by these individuals becomes tangible. This beautiful event is a reminder of the cost of freedom.
